Music at TBI

Yedid Nefesh CD JacketWe have rich musical programming here at Tiferet Bet Israel, and many ways in which you can participate in our musical life.  Cantor Shammash directs the Adult Choir, which plays an active role in our High Holy Day services.  Lisa Ashery, our family music educator, directs our Junior Choir, which rehearses weekly during Religious School and leads us monthly at our First Friday Family Service. They also regularly perform annually during Hanukkah and on Yom HaShoah.  Friday nights regularly include guitar, and occasionally we have piano-accompanied Shabbat mornings, as well as other musical guests and scholars in residence.  Our internally produced CD, Yedid Nefesh: Friday Night at Tiferet Bet Israel, highlights the unique flavor of our Kabbalat Shabbat service.  Simchat Torah brings out our Klezmer All-Stars, an in-house band, and our Music in the Sanctuary concert series brings international performers to TBI.
